Lithography at documenta 14 in Athens

 

 

 

Turkish artist Banu Cennetoglu worked with our printers for nearly a month on an installation for documenta 14. On the 6th of April, documenta opened in Athens with a great number of exciting, politically-charged works. At the top of our list was Banu Cennetoglu's installation of 145 lithographic stones, each carrying one page of "I Engraved My Heart into the Mountains" by the Kurdish freedom fighter Gurbetelli Ersöz (1965 - 1997). Cennetoglu's Installation, entitled: 'Gurbet’s Diary (27.07.1995–08.10.1997)' is exhibited in the garden of the Gennadius Library. Click HERE for more information.
